About Face!: Soldier Shows "Blueprint Special"
"About Face!" was the first in a series of Soldier Shows "Blueprint Specials" created by the Special Services Division of the Army Service Forces during World War II to provide soldiers stationed overseas with all the resources they need to stage an original, full-length, Broadway-style revue for their fellow soldiers. Each "Blueprint Special" includes a libretto, set and costume designs, conductor's score, and individual vocal and instrumental parts, as well as detailed instructions for staging the show effectively. Costumes and sets can be constructed from local scrap materials, the sketches that compose the libretto can be omitted or added to according to local needs and time constraints, and the big band style musical accompaniment can be reduced or expanded to accommodate whatever players are available. Each show features one scene where any number of specialty acts can be inserted to showcase local talent.

Aerodynamic Tests of an A-M-65-AZON 1000-Pound Radio-Controlled Bomb in the LMAL 16-Foot High-Speed Tunnel
Report presenting tests made in the LMAL 16-foot high-speed tunnel to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of a 1000-pound AN-M-65-AZON radio-controlled bomb at a Mach number range of 0.2 to 0.6. Over the Mach number range, the hinge-moment coefficients, yawing-moment coefficients, and lateral-force coefficients exhibited no important changes with increasing speed.

Aerodynamic Tests of an NACA 66(215)-116, a=0.6 Airfoil With a 0.25c Slotted Flap for the Fleetwings XA-39 Airplane
Report presenting testing in the two-dimensional low-turbulence tunnels on a 24-inch-chord model of the NACA 66(215)-116 a = 0.6 airfoil with a 0.25-chord slotted flap. The optimum flap pivot positions were found for three different conditions. The conditions were determined from a consideration of the landing, take-off, and strafing requirements of the airplane.

Airfoil-Contour Modifications Based on (Epsilon)-Curve Method of Calculating Pressure Distribution
From Introduction: "Certain alternations of a qualitative nature may be performed in spite of the fact that a pressure change cannot be prescribed. It is the purpose of this paper to indicate a method by which qualitative alternation may be performed. It will be noted that the present method of contour modification will serve the intended purpose of the inverse method."

Analysis of a thermal ice-prevention system for wing leading-edge landing-light installations
From Introduction: "A typical ice formation on a wing leading-edge-type light installation is shown in figure 1. Although the primary purpose of this analytic investigation was to determine the practicability of providing a landing-light thermal ice-prevention system which could be incorporated with the wing leading-edge thermal ice-prevention system of the B-17 F airplane, the analysis has been developed in a general form for future application to similar deigns.
