Suggestions of criticisms will be incorporated; however, it is not the intended purpose of this study to suggest or criticize.

In other words, the writer was interested in finding out whether it is possible, as far as can be determined, to develop an unpopular child to such an extent that he will be more social, more likable, and, in the end, more acceptable by his school group.

The purpose of this study is to discover through the use of the descriptive evaluation technique information about children's reading which may be of value as suggestions for classroom teachers who teach reading in the intermediate level. It is hoped that through the use of this technique the relation of the reading level of the individual children in a fourth and fifth grade group to the reading level of the material the children would read if left to their own choice in its selection may be determined.

To What Extent are the Personality Needs of the Music Students of the Denton Senior High School Being Met through Music?

The problem which is reported in these pages represents an attempt on the part of the writer to discover whether the music curriculum of the Denton Senior High School is meeting the personality needs of the students of the school. In order to discover a starting-point from which to attack this problem, the writer administered standardized personality and music tests to the students enrolled in her music classes. The results of these tests form the primary basis of the investigation and of this thesis.
