Caption says, "A-2 Altus Project. Combining beardless black hull wheat on property owned by Mrs. Jones, Section 25, T. 4N. , R. 21W. , one and one-half miles west of Blair, Oklahoma. The land was summer fallowed by the renter, Mr. R. B. Pepper of Granite, Oklahoma, Rt. # 1. Previous to summer fallowing the land yielded 12 bushels to the acre. After summer fallowing the yield was increased to 18 bushels per acre."
