There is a chain with a metal bar attached to it hanging from a limb of the oak tree just to the left of the group of people. A smaller oak tree is to the right side of the photo. Beyond the wire fence in the background is a white wooden building and trees. Written in ink below the photo: "March 2 1940". Also written on back in blue ink: "March 2 1940". Stamped on back in black: "94" and watermark "Velox".
