Photograph of Catherine Nimitz sitting at her desk at Navy Relief in the Oak Knoll Naval Hospital, Oakland, California. She wears a black coat with large shoulder pads and clasped at the top, a pearl necklace as well as a hat with a bunch of flowers on the front. She has a book in front of her with her fingers slipped between pages. There are two pen wells on her desk, and something is written across it. Inscription in lower center is illegible.
