A form letter addressed to Brother Pastor from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, 24th Senatorial District Drys, dated December 20, 1940. Carswell reports on a meeting held on December 12 and advises regarding the enclosed Pronouncement of this meeting in dealing with the liquor situation. Carswell requests that the Pastors and their congregations join the cause and pledge to aid the 24th Senatorial District Drys in the fight against the sale of liquor for social drinking in Dry Territory. Printed on letterhead from the First Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas. Enclosure includes: Report by Committee members M. H. Godfrey - Mitchell, Herron - Shackelford, J. J. Keeter - Throckmorton, A. H.
