The first letter features instructions and a receipt for ten dollars ($10) to express ship a suitcase to the Georgetown Customs House in Washington, D.C. The second letter features a brief acknowledgement from Alex Bradford to Henry Walter that he has landed "somewhere in England" after a good trip at sea.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky from the University of Texas School of Medicine, and Dr. John W. Spies, who is the Dean of the School of Medicine. In the second letter, which is dated September 16, 1940, Dr. Meyer Bodansky requests vacation time for either October or November of the same year. The first letter, which is dated September 16, 1940, is a response from Dr. Spies to Dr. Bodansky, and requests that he bring up the matter closer to the time.

Letter to Alex Bradford discussing personal updates, including a chat with Alex's step-son, the author's employment at the FBI, the author's work with their sister's father-in-law, the author's support for President Roosevelt, and general well wishes. Pages 2 and 3 are omitted.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky and James B. Hyndman, dated from May 16, 1940 to September 27, 1940. The letter that is dated May 16, 1940 is an invitation to Dr. Bodansky from Dr. Hyndman to be a guest speaker at the Texas Society of Medical Technologists annual Convention in October of the same year. The letters remaining discuss the details of the content of the lecture as well as the reimbursement of travel expenses. The last letter that is dated September 27, 1940 from Dr. Bodansky explains that he will not be able to attend the convention.

A letter written to "Dossie" from T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas dated April 16, 1940. Carswell discusses the importance of the selection that must be made by the Trustees for a replacement for J. D. Sandefer as President of Hardin-Simmons University and offers his opinion that Rupert [Rupert N. Richardson] should be asked first. Carswell defends his opinion, noting the probability of "Dossie" being selected for the job thus requesting that "Dossie" encourage the selection of Rupert, in order to keep Rupert at Simmons, then the offer of the presidency would be made in due course to "Dossie".
