Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "It was difficult to estimate attendance at Fair park Saturday, estimates ranging from as low as 15,000 to as high as 150,000. Every seat available was filled early. This picture of the central section of the grandstand, including the "reserved" seat section in front of the speaker's stand, shows how well filled were all available seats. Even the grandstand steps and the space immediately in front of the grandstand were filled. The grandstand normally holds 10,000 people. Extra bleachers provided 2,400 additional seats. Benches in the reserved section accounted for 4,500. There were 500 platform seats. An estimate of 30,000 appearently is generous. Confusion over "passes" distributed by county central committees was blamed for the fact the crowd wasn't bigger, but, as the picture testifies, lots of people were there anyhow."
