Santa Fe (ATSF) 3184

The 229 "mikes" just like this one were the workhorses on Santa Fe freight except in mountainous areas. The line is now abandoned and under about 30 feet of water of Kaw Lake. The outhouse showing behind fromt (sic) of engine was moved to new site of Kaw City along with the depot.
