A photograph print showing the Frisco (SL&SF) 1036, 4-6-2 (BLW), on southbound passenger train, "Black Gold". This is the same train shown in 174A [2008.008.6552]. In some ways this is a better view of the depot, especially the side where the white waiting room was located. The engineman is oiling around. Picture made in 1938, but fairly representative of 1929.

If no train was due on the crossing line, long passenger trains pulled across and blocked the crossing to make better use of depot platform. Note bay window in depot and two order boards. Crossing tracks are CRI&P.
