Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Street, park and place names in Oklahoma City are signposts in the city history -- though the origin of some names has become obscure with time. Colcord drive was named for Charles F. Colcord, a native of Kentucky who made the 1889 fun from Texas. He was Oklahoma City's first police chief and later the first Sheriff of Oklahoma County, Colcord was a real estate developer and became president of the Oklahoma Historical society."
