On the back of the photograph are postcard markings and a white, rectangular sticker indicating the photograph for the postcard was taken after a fire in 1924. A short paragraph of text on the back of the postcard also gives historical information about the ruins, indicating they used to be part of Salado College.

A letter written to Mr. W. K. Wingfield, President Lions Club, Temple, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, with copies to Perry, Higgins and Hyer. Carswell replies to the suggestion by Wingfield that they support the other's candidates by stating that the governorship should be decided on merit and service.

A letter written to Mr. W. K. Wingfield, Temple, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Secretary-Treasurer, Lions International, Abilene, Texas, dated March 29, 1924. Carswell announces Abilene's candidate Lion R. D. Green for Governor. Typewritten at the bottom of the page is a reply from W. K. Wingfield, President, disclosing their decision to run Colonel Perry for International President stating, "If you will swing the clubs in your section for Lion Perry, we will help you with Lion Green".

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Secretary-Treasurer, Lions Club, Abilene, Texas, from W. K. Wingfield, President, Lions Club of Temple, Temple, Texas, dated April 18, 1924. Wingfield defends Col. Perry explaining that the Waco meeting at which Col. Perry was not present resulted in things done there that he and his committee did not agree to. He expresses his hope to see Carswell at the Abilene Club, the Paris Convention and then at Omaha in June.
