Postcard from Alivia and Herman to Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Kneupper, wishing them a happy thanksgiving. Postcard to Mrs. Emil Philippus, discussing arrangements for Mrs. Philippus to meet her mother-in-law at the depot on May 8, 1921. The front of the postcard features a photograph of the Holy Angels Academy in Boerne, Texas, a two-story, light-colored wood building with wrap-around porches on both stories. There is a small tower extending from the center of the roof of the building, and a short flagpole at the front of the roof. There is a large group of students and nuns standing on the first-floor porch and sitting on a few short steps leading up to the porch. There are two large, bare trees on either side of the front steps.

Postcard of a three story white stone building with a golden domed roof. The scene is described as "The Library of Congress, Washington, justly celebrated as the culmination of architectural achievement of the day, was completed in 1897 at a cost of 26,000,000. The Library is here seen from the Capitol. The dome and lantern are finished in black copper, with panels gilded with a thick coating of gold leaf; and the cresting of the dome terminates in a gilded finial representing the torch of Science ever burning." The message on the back is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "M. P. H. McFaddin, Beaumont, Tex."
