Patent for a ship protector that uses a system of mats that can be individually lowered to temporarily repair a hole blown in the hull by a torpedo or floating mine, thereby keeping the ship from sinking until it can reach port. The mats can also be used to prevent floating mines from contacting the hull. Designed to be easily applied without requiring any material changes in the ship's construction.

Patent for a well drill wrench that improves upon William Ellinger's patent 1,327,379, issued January 6, 1920. This improvement eliminates friction between the rotatable and stationary parts of the wrench and ensures that the rotatable part is fully supported during its entire rotation, "as when screwing or unscrewing the drill bit" (lines 109-110).

Building Construction.

Patent for a building construction method. After completion of typical foundation and framework construction, "interlocking slabs or tiles are secured to the framework to form an outer covering or sheathing for the building." The interlocking method requires no cementing of material yet still allows water to be shed. "Provision is also made for fastening slabs or tiles to the framework in a manner permitting rapid assembly of parts" which reduces building time. The invention can be applied to doors and windows as demonstrated in the illustrations.
