Group photograph in front of the George School. The photograph shows twelve students and one adult (teacher?) in front of a white wooden building with wooden steps that lead to a small porch and the front entrance. A brick chimney is seen to the left of the center roof line. There are two hats in the foreground. "[The Jodarski] house was next to the school - they would go home for lunch, teacher would stick the bell out of the window and ring it once for them to come back from lunch, and to come in the morning (everybody). [The Jodarski children's] father was a trustee of the school. "My-lady" Maltzick was the first teacher. Each class was taught separately, but concurrently". The photograph was taken approximately in the early 1920's. Written on back of photo as seen in scanned image 2000.067.002b: "1st school house on A. P. George Ranch". The Jodarskis tenant farmed on the George Ranch.
