Rev. H. D. Knickerbocker Brands C. C. McDonald as an Unmitigated Liar and Unprincipled Scoundrel
Pamphlet written by Reverend H. D. Knickerbocker to refute statements made by C. C. McDonald regarding Knickerbocker's position in favor of Prohibition and an incident with the Huaco Club in Waco. The pamphlet includes the printed text of three documents meant to provide supporting evidence and ends with a list of specific ways that Knickerbocker claims McDonald has lied.

Ninth Annual Reception Alumni Association Denton High School
The program for the Ninth Annual Reception of the Alumni Association at Denton High School on May 20, 1915, at Elks Hall contains an order of addresses, a list of toasts, and the lyrics to "Auld Lang Syne." The program was printed on cream paper with a watermark that says, "Dresden Paper," which meant it was produced by the Dresden Paper Mills Co. out of Dresden, Maine.

Breeds of Beef Cattle
"The question most frequently asked about cattle usually pertains to the breed which should be used in a certain community or under certain conditions. All breeds are not similar; some have superior points to others, and a certain breed may be better suited to conditions existing in one locality or one State than any other breed. For this reason it is well to find out which breed is best suited to local conditions, and to induce as many farmers as possible to raise that breed, because of the better prices which maybe secured from the sale of a uniform product and the ease with which suitable breeding stock may be obtained near home. Some information is presented herewith which will help to answer some of the questions which arise as to the value of the various breeds of cattle." -- title page

Causas de la revolución en México : y como efectuar la paz
This short treatise, written in Havana in 1913, espouses the land reform goals and ideals of Emiliano Zapata and the Zapatistas while condemning the regimes of Carranza and Huerta,. It proposes an idealized agrarian society with land held in common and a system of "Escuelas Granjas" or rural schools. He deplores the evils of clericalism, plutocracy, and militarism. The three headings in the document are "Manifiesto al Pueblo Mexicano," "Bases Generales," and "Pensamiento de la Revolución: Como educar al Pueblo para la Nueva Reforma."

"The citrus thrips, a minute orange-yellow insect, has in the past few years caused extensive damage to citrus fruits in the San Joaquin Valley of California and also occasioned considerable injury in southern California and Arizona orange groves. The nature and extent of the injury caused by this insect and its life history and habits were carefully studied, and extensive experiments for its control were conducted by the writer during the period from 1910 to 1912. The Control of the Root-Knot
"Attention should be directed to the continual spread of a common disease of plants generally known under the names of root-knot, root-gall, big-root, etc. It occurs as an out-of-doors pest in all except the most northern Sates, but it is most abundant in the South and Southwest and is everywhere prevalent in greenhouses. It is the cause of serious damage to many crops. The extent of this damage is difficult to estimate, since it is both direct and indirect and in many cases is overlooked entirely. The direct damage is that caused to the growing crops. The indirect damage results from the fact that the presence of the disease makes it impracticable to grow certain crops." -- title page

Crimson Clover: Seed Production
"The recent development of crimson-clover seed strippers to gather seed for reseeding local areas makes practicable a much wider utilization of this crop than heretofore.... Fortunately for the grower of crimson clover on the ordinary farm, there have been developed recently two simple types of seed-gathering devices which will make it practicable for every farmer to let a portion of his crimson clover stand for seed, gather it in the hull, and immediately bag and house it for sowing later in the season. These devices are described and illustrated in the following pages. In addition, a brief discussion is given of the requirements necessary for successful seed production, as well as of the methods used for producing seed in commercial quantities for the market." -- title page
