Large trees dot the hillside and surrounding area.

Postcard from Bette to Mr. I. McIngvall, discussing her stay in Boerne, Texas. The postcard features a photograph of long, tall, skinny suspension bridge in Boerne, Texas, made from concrete and metal, and spanning across a large open space between two hills. There are many trees on the two hills and on either side of the bridge. A handwritten note at the top of the photo reads, "We walked here today."

Printed at the top of the postcard is "Central Fire Station, Beaumont, Texas." Printed on the back of the postcard is the following information regarding the postcard's creation: "Published by S.H. The George O'Brien Millard School was a public elementary school in Beaumont started about 1910 and sometimes known as just Millard School. George O'Brien Millard was a prominent Beaumont citizen who helped develop the public school system in Beaumont. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "Geo. B. Millard School, Beaumont, Texas." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "All O.K. Weather perfectly grand and things are lovely. I return to E.T June 12. Wouldn't you like to see me? Love to Aunt Lizzie & all. Hazel." The card is addressed to Mr. James Mortin, Cochituate, Mass.

Postcard from Rose Chamberlin to Ora Osterhout Wade discussing recent events. She says that she went to the carnival every night during the fair. The postcard has a picture of a house on the front, and it is addressed to Mrs. C. B. Wade in Temple, Texas. It is postmarked San Antonio, Texas.

The students have been separated into boys and girls, with the girls standing in the center and the boys surrounding them on each side and behind them. The girls wear long, light-colored dresses belted at the waist. The boys wear formal attire. The girls have been identified, from left to right, as unknown, Esther Knudsen, Elna Petersen, Andrea Hansen, Emelia Andersen, Gertrude Strarup, and Christine Olsen. Three names have been provided for the boys but it cannot be stated with certainty to whom they apply. Black, rough patches of paper on the back of the postcard remain on each corner from wherever it was torn out of.
