Barley: Growing the Crop
"Of the small-grain crops grown in this country barley ranks third in production. While much of the area devoted to this crop in the United States is suited to its production, the lack of care in selecting seed and the methods of cultivation practiced result in low yield of poor quality. This bulletin gives directions for the best methods of growing and harvesting the crop. With the use of these methods there should be a marked increase in the yield and quality of the barley grown in the United States." -- p. 2
