The note on the back of the photograph concerns Milton's unanswered letters by Scott: "I guess you must be drownded. Why have you not answered my letter?"

Postcard from Milton Andrew Matlock with a photograph of the Williamsburg Bridge in New York, and showing ships passing underneath the bridge. There is a note on the back of the card written by Matlock that says in part: "500 gallons of beer was furnished by the U. S. Gov."

Postcard addressed to Lois Matlock with a note from the sender saying they "got home alive alright waited at Dublin about a half hour..." There is a tinted photograph on the front showing a couple kissing on a bench with a small animal in the foreground and a caption reading: "Some Folks Make Me Tired."

Postcard of the Texas Cotton Palace in Waco, Texas at night, the building outlined with small colored lights. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mrs. Fred Setchell in Canaan, Maine, and says "Dear Ross. I am at McGregor visiting Tina. Yesterday we spent all day in Waco. Went out to Oakwood to visit the little grave. Twenty-five years this month. The afternoon at Cotton Palace. Such a crowd. Will return home tonight. With great deal of love to all. From Aunt Effa."

Postcard showing people and buildings on Twelfth and Franklin Streets in Waco, Texas, with Austin Avenue Methodist Church visible on the left side of Twelfth Street. A handwritten note on the back of the card is addressed to Mrs. W.D. Barton in Ozona, Texas and says, "I guess you think I have forgotten you but I haven't. I am fine. I don't know when I will be thru. I like Waco fine. Go to Sunday School and Church every Sunday. We have about 500 members in Sunday School when I go. A Meeting has just close and it sure was fine. Charley Cortes."

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter with a photograph showing a building on fire in Missouri; Eagan notes that this is the "state capital bldg., Jefferson City, MO." The photograph shows the building engulfed in flames after having been struck by lightning.

Postcard of uniformed fire fighters standing near a hand-drawn fire engine. The engine has two poles on its front for the fire fighters to carry, and requires multiple people to move. The engine has the words, " Torrent Veteran" written on its hose. On the back of the postcard, the sender left a handwritten message that says, "Cannot find any cards of the Phila. Fire Dept. -Edna V. Johnson."

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter with a note describing the picture on the reverse side: "This shows Truck 8-13-6 at work on Essex Fire 821 Washington Ave. April 15-1911." The photograph shows three different fire trucks with long ladders pointed up towards a burning building; Eagan says "#8 truck is at #32 house. That is first one with two men on the aerial ladder."

Postcard with a photograph of "Engine Co. 32 Wagon" in St. Louis, Missouri. Eagan writes in his note on the back that "the driver made a special run" for him as he took the picture. The wagon is running down a street in the city with two firemen hanging off of the back end and two others sitting in the driver's seat. Eagan also asks Pendexter if he knows Chief van Toor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter discussing the shipment of Pendexter's new car from the Webb Factory, it should be shipped by the 20th. The photograph on the reverse side shows a group of firemen working to put out a fire; there are large hoses stretched out down the street attached to different auto engines.

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter with a note on the back saying that Pendexter's fire truck should "be ready for shipment about Dec. 20th." He goes on the say that the photograph on the reverse side shows "#18 wagon just as the walls fell at general paper Co. fire May 23-1911. The photograph shows four firemen standing on the back of the fire wagon watching as the wall falls down.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter requesting that they exchange their fire photos together; Johnston says he got Pendexter's name from J. D. Smith. The photograph on the reverse side shows the Battle Creek Fire Department "testing stream and #2 steamer" at their testing location; behind the engine there is a large crowd of people watching the testing going on.
