Southern States: Western Section

This map shows four of the southern U.S. states - Texas, Oklahoma (split into two to include 'Indian Territory'), Arkansas, and Louisiana - and surrounding areas. Each of the regions is shaded in color and major roads are marked in red. Major cities and bodies of water are also marked and labeled. An inset in the lower left corner shows the entire United States with the southern states shaded to show the focus of the main map. On the back of the map, the page contains illustrated text. The text is continued on previous and successive pages (not included). The top portion contains brief statements titled "Cities of the Southern States." Another section, starting in the bottom half of the page is labeled "Central States--Eastern Section" and contains information regarding Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Kentucky.
