There are several different regions shaded in different colors. States are outlined with dotted lines and labeled. Major cities are noted on the map. Shipping routes over land and sea are marked in red; rivers and other bodies of water are marked in blue. Other geographic features are also marked with relief shown by hachures. On the back of the map are two pages of text labeled "Commercial Geography" with information about routes of commerce throughout the United States. Prime meridians: Greenwich and Washington.
