Caption: "HUGE TANK blocks the east-bound lane of the Northwest Expressway Thursday afternoon while workmen hasten to remove it from the roadway. Motorcycle Patrolman Jon Gustin said the massive 40-foot tank was scraped from the back of a tractor-trailer rig when it struck the Western Ave. bridge about 3 p.m. Traffic was blocked for more than an hour, he said. Gustin said the tank, loaded on the back of the truck, stood well in excess of the 13-foot, 10 inch bridge clearance. The bridge received only minor damage, the officer said."
