Documentation of an oath sworn at Kelley's Creek, West Virginia, by Mrs. Patten and her daughters, stating: "We Mrs. Nancy Patten, Miss Amanda Patten, Miss Mary Patten, Miss Alice Patten - Do most solemnly promise and swear that in passing through the National lines, into the so called Confe-derate States, We will give no informati-on regarding the position of troops wit-hin these lines, nor any other of like contraband character, also that we will not take any packages or letters except those examined, approved, and delivered to me by the Military Authorities - & We furthermore find ourselves to remain outsi-de the National lines - during the war. So help us God."

Letter from S. P. Sundam that transportation was funished for J. D. Luce from Elmira NY to Harrisburg PA at the cost of $3.55.

Letter to the Commanding Company that Private Joseph D. Lace was furnished transportation from Harrisburg PA to Pittsburgh PA at the cost of $4.96.

General Order No. 13 2nd Lieut. Alfred L. Bancroft, 1st NY Veteran Cavalry, is hereby announced as Acting Aide-de-Camp on the Staff of the Colonel commanding, and will be respected and obeyed accordingly.

Hospital admittance certificate for Privt. E. A. Edwards of Company "F," 1st regiment, N. Y. Veteran's Cavalry. The certificate states that Edwards was admitted to the hospital on July 14, 1864 and should report to Harper Ferry on December 6, 1864, the day of his release. The document also includes information about Edwards' pay which was mustered for the months of July, August, September, and October, but was not yet paid to the Private.

Special Order No. 104 upon the recommendation of Capt. Hamilton R. Redway these promotions are made.

Letter to the Commanding Company that Private Joseph D. Lace was furnished transportation from Harrisburg PA to Pittsburgh PA at the cost of $4.96.

General Order for official communications. First documents should be enclosed with synopsis on from, Intermediate Commanders should make sure it is worth the Department Commander's time. Secondly applications for furlongh and discharge will not be accompanied with Transmittal but have the application on the first fold, with necessity and nature of the application. Third letters will be forwarded through intermediate commanders unless urgent. Fourth no more papers to be presented in person by officers and enlisted men, unless absolute necessity.

Letter from S. Farlin to Hamilton K. Redway regarding forage for Redway's command of 21 horses. The letter indicates that 10 sacks (1,260 pounds) of oats and 11 sacks (1,260 pounds) of corn are to be sent to Redway by train. The forage is to last from December 11 to December 20.

List of clothing and equipage. Needs a signature and to be dated and returned by mail. List consists of:shirts, drawers, socks, blankets, etc.

Letter from Hamilton K. Redway to Loriette C. Redway which reassures his wife about their relationship and the love he has for her and their children. The letter is dated December 11, 1864 and was written while Redway was stationed at the camp in Kelly's Creek, West Virginia.

Special Order No. 107 Norman W. C? promoted and Wm. H. Sleep? reduced in rank.

Letter from S. Farlin to Hamilton K. Redway regarding forage for Redway's command of 30 horses. The letter indicates that 18 sacks (2,400 pounds) of oats, 22 sacks (2,400 pounds)of corn, and 10 bales (2,320 pounds)of hay are to be sent to Redway by train. The forage is to last from December 13 to December 20.

Circular No. 5. Company Commanders will take away all citizen clothing, rebel clothing and other clothing not in accordance with the uniforms form enlisted men in their respective companies. The Commanders are responsible to send the clothes out of reach of their men.

Special orders from A. H. Nash to Captain Redway which detail that these orders should be relayed to all men in Redway's company whose muster and descriptive rolls have not been received. It also states that Redway should wait for a courier from Soup Creek with a similar dispatch.
