Crane explains that each year she sends a message to Grace with greetings for Carswell and any of the other Abilene friends who are still there. She advises that now she is sending the note to Carswell and asking that he give her Christmas love to Grace and all the Sandefers. She requests that he or Grace send the dates on her Grandmother's grave, tell her Abilene news and then offers the season's greetings.
