Obituary for J. K. "Tobe" Dodd. Dodd passed away on Thursday, November 30, 1905 at the age of sixty-five at his home on the Dobbins Pike in Gallatin, Tennessee. According to the obituary, Dodd died due to a "general breakdown and softening of the brain." Dodd was a Confederate Lieutenant in Company D of the Second Tennessee Cavalry, and was later Sheriff of Sumner County, Tennessee.

Letter from Sally Thornhill to Mary Moore, Claude and Linnet White. She recovered quicker than she thought, it was almost like when she hurt her hip. She mentions they need rain for the wheat. She talks about the hogs and the fruits that are ripe. Since she got hurt she is unable to go visit friends. She asks for information on everyone. She received news from Camilla. Alice Wright visited her, she has been treated for dropsy in Fort Worth. Bettie Keller is not well. She mentions Nannie's baby. She tells Mary who is getting married. She is sorry about writing in pencil and talks about Bertha's baby. She asks for information on the kin she has in McKinney. She gives an update on all of their friends.

Letter concerning a purchase at $70. Two blank checks for the Melissa State Bank are included. Also a card of the bank's statement and list of directors and stockholders.

Letter from H. S. Wysong to Claude D. White. He asks that a check be sent for interest. He will then send the money over a twelve month period. He sends his regards to Mrs. White.

A wedding announcement for the marriage of Buena Vista Blassingame, daughter of Mrs. John D. Blassingame, to Dr. Samuel G. Bryan. The wedding was to be held on Wednesday, November 20, 1907, at 5 o'clock in Elmont, Texas. The newlywed couple would later take up residence in Van Alstyne, Texas.

Check from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It was created by Claude D. White. The financial document details that White paid $16.00 to the Melissa State Bank on November 26, 1909. A stamp from the bank verified the payment was made on the date written on the check.

Letter from Lula Dalton to Linnet Moore in which she writes about Claude D. White's love for Linnet. The letter has been badly damaged and large parts of the information is lost. She appears to write about her activities, her family and friends, and a trip that she made.

Letter from Claude D. White to Linnet Moore in which he writes about a visit she made to him. Claude says that he likes the hotel business. He asks for Linnet's opinion regarding the decisions about his future.

Letter from Mary Moore to her daughter Linnet and son-in-law Claude White which she begins with motherly concern that they should stay warm. She then recounts her husband's illness and how she and Birdie McGee cared for him. She goes on to describe the comings and goings of family and friends.

Letter from Charles Moore to Linnet and Claude White in which he describes his activities on the farm; the theft of buggies; and the activities of family and friends. He informs them that uncle John Stewart has died.

Letter to Linnet Moore White in which the author offers condolences to her on the death of her father, Charles B. Moore.

Letter from Birdie McGee to Claude and Linnet White in which she tells them that Charles Moore caught a chill walking down to Mr. Anderson's place. Birdie went to town to see Dr. Gibson for help. She says that Mary Moore has rheumatism. She also lists the friends and family she has been in contact with.

Letter to Aunt Mollie and Claude and Linnet White. W. J. wants to explain why Uncle Tobe was not brought along. He doesn't like to leave. Bessie is the only one that can get him to leave for short amounts of time. He wants to tell Uncle Tobe first before his aunt. He wishes them the best wishes. The second letter Birdie wants to inform her Aunt Mollie on Uncle Tobe's condition. He is so worried about his money. He won't eat or drink and has become bedridden. Aunt Bettie wants to send him to the old soldier's home, but they are afraid it will cost them. Uncle Abe is doing better. Bessie wanted Mary's father to come stay with them. Mary's husband William Anthony doesn't want Mary to help with her father. She has been busy sewing for the last three weeks. She asks that Linnet write her, and is sorry for the bad news, but wants her Aunt Mollie to stay informed.

Notice regarding the death of A. R. Franklin, who died November 23, 1906. The funeral was held November 24th at the grave side, officiated by Rev. R. M. DuBose; he was buried at Gallatin Cemetery in Gallatin, Tennessee. The notice also includes the list of pall bearers.
