To confirm Denton ISD's commitment as full partner to NTIEVA. Thomas writes that Sandra Parker, Associate Director and Site Coordinator for Denton ISD, will contribute 5% of her time during the 1993 - 1994 calendar year to activities related to staff development and implementation efforts of the discipline-based art education (DBAE). Along with six other art teachers who will devote time towards the program. Attached to the letter is a stipend worksheet for the faculty involved with the institute based on current salaries.

Photocopy of a letter from Nancy Reynolds, NTIEVA, to Vicki Rosenberg, program officer for the Getty Center, in regards to Rosenberg's interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Worth. Reynolds states the the Club initially wanted NTIEVA to develop an art program for the six branches of Fort Worth, however, the person in charge of the program has no real power to implement the art program and their program director is opposed to the idea in general. Reynolds writes that the participants of the seminars feel that an art program is important and they want to implement programs into their branches, but unsure if progress will be made.

In regards to a constructive meeting between Kevin Comerford and McCarter discussing mutual topics of interest for the museum and North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Comerford agreed to consider a graduate student of UNT as an intern to work with him during the spring, to work specially with the computer and interactive technology in the context of art history. The conversation continued to collaborative effort for developing software based on study prints, and would like Gates's insight into the proposed project. A scanned newspaper clipping featuring an article about teacher, Georiga Blaydes and her fifth-grade class room of students undergoing the experimental discipline-based art education program. The students have become as serious about art criticism as professional critics. Changes in art curriculum are being implemented statewide as part of a package of sweeping education reforms approved by the Texas Legislature in 1981. In the article, Ms. Blaydes has been working with the University of North Texas administrators as they plan for a regional center for the visual arts that will promote new art education programs.

A memo from Ricardo Hernandez, Director of Programs at TCA, to Organizations with outstanding final evaluation reports for their 1991-1992 projects, that informs organizations that their final evolution report for their projects are now considered delinquent and they have 30 days to respond. Failure to respond to the memo may result in lost of pending grant funds. Hernandez notes that if in need of any assistance, organizations should contact Program Staff or Annette Bertanzetti, Coordinator of Contracts and Evaluations.
