He was stationed in front of the jail office when he heard the gunshot from Jack Ruby's weapon.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by C. G. Lewis regarding his assignment and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Lewis states that he was assigned to operate the jail elevator and did not see the shooting. He further states the he had seen Jack Ruby nine years before but did not know him personally.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by W. E. Chambers regarding the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Chambers describes his assignment in the basement of the Police building as part of the security measures. He states that he was standing behind Oswald trying to keep people back from him when he saw a flash and heard a gunshot. He then assisted in subduing the suspect.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by V. C. Campbell regarding his assignments and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Campbell states the he was assigned to the basement hallway on November 24, 1963, and that he was standing by the jail office when he heard a gunshot. He assisted in helping other officers attempt to get Oswald back into the jail office, then helped place him on the ambulance stretcher. He states that he was then assigned to stand guard at the operating room at Parkland Hospital.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by H. L. Dawson regarding his assignments and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Dawson states that he was assigned to the basement of the City Hall. After the shooting he was directed to check the credentials of everyone who entered or exited the basement.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by B. S. Cardy regarding his assignments and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Cardy describes observing the crowd and the events in the basement of City Hall and states that he did not see Jack Ruby prior to the shooting, though he had known him for eight to ten years.

Craig further states that he did not know Jack Ruby.
