Interview with Frankie Rosita Holdsworth Hollar, a 99 year old Mexican woman who immigrated to Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Hollar is almost 100 years old at the time of the interview. Her family were some of the early residents of Kerrville and Kerr County, and her younger sister, Mary, eventually married Mr. H. E. Butts (founder of HEB). One of the oldest surviving members of the community, she describes her education, her career as a teacher, and how the area has changed over the years.

Interview with Trixie Lucille Dixon Sample, registered nurse from Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Sample recounts stories from her 30 years working as a nurse at the Veteran's Hospital - including how she met her husband and the problems she encountered with the hospital's policy against married nurses.

Interview with Elaine Crider Hurt, the most current owner of Crider's Rodeo & Dancehall, from Kerrville, Texas. Elaine tells the story of her parents' ranch and the start of Crider's Rodeo & Dancehall in 1925, where dances, concerts, and other events are still held. She discusses the continuing success of the Crider's, despite struggles to keep it open during rough times, including when a large oak tree ruined the dance floor.

He received a PhD in Medical Entomology from Texas A&M in 1963 and worked in the field of printentomology. He specialized in neurohormonal mechanisms of metamorphosis and reproduction in economically damaging arthropods. He led the program that led to the eradication of the boll weevil. Married to Judy Wright, the two had a blended family of two sons, two daughters, and many grandchildren. The interview covers his family history, education and research, enjoyment of bass fishing, and ranching of cows and calves in retirement. Copies of photos are included at the end of the transcript.

Transcript of an interview with Karen and Clark Klein. Karen attended Notre Dame Catholic School in Kerrville and graduated from Tivy High School before completed a course at Durham Business College. She worked at Wool and Mohair Warehouse in Ingram before marrying Clark in 1962. Clark also attended Notre Dame School and Tivy where the couple met. He served in the Army for three years, worked briefly the postal services, and enlisted again in the National Guard. He served until 1982 and achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major. The couple had three children and lived in San Antonio, Austin for ten years, before moving back to Kerrville. Several photos follow the transcript text.

He stayed in Kerrville and worked as a waiter, before going into partnership with some businessmen in Kerrville to open a Mexican restaurant. He is the owner of Mamacitas restaurants in Kerrville, Fredricksburg, San Marcos, and San Antonio. His family's foundation provides support for divorced women with children in Iran to allow them a more comfortable life. He and his wife, Ruth, have two children.
