These are documents from the Charles B. Moore Collection. The documents include a clipping and two tickets. The clipping details that P. O'Reilly and W. L. McCormick were elected as alderman to fill the position in their respective wards. On the reverse side of the clipping is a marriage announcement for Linnet Moore and Claude White; the reason this clipping was cut and saved. The tickets were for travel on October 16, 1901 from Dallas to Denison for two passengers on a passenger car designed by the Pullman Company.

Envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Claude D. White and Mrs. Mary Moore. Mrs. White was the daughter of Mary and C. B. Moore. The letter was sent to Melissa, Texas (Melissa was crossed out) and then McKinney, Texas. It has been stamped, "Forwarded."

So he is now lonely, but he has some questions for her about graduation. He asks about her suitors and the guy that sent Lula a picture of himself.

He doesn't want her to be married to someone she thought she knew. He mentions how much he loves Linnet. He asks her to come with Linnet so he can see them. He tells her his plan for them to come and visit him. He sends regards to his cousin Bettie and asks her to give his love to Linnet every time she sees her.

Letter from J. W. Berry to Claude White in which Mr. Berry says he ran into John Cox who told him that Claude owes him money for a mare. Mr. Berry is said that he is "sorry that the trade turned out as it did." He offers to pay Cox for Claude and send him the receipt. He also updates him on the rain and availability of water. A deposit slip for the Melissa State Bank is also included.

Letter from "Johnson" to his brother, written on University of Texas at Austin letterhead. The writer discusses getting his friend a job, and references their previous correspondence, asking what the friend might want the writer to send. The envelope is addressed to Mr. B. M. Williams in El Paso, but a handwritten note on the back says: "Opened by mistake by B. M. Williams - 720 N. Florence." The postmarks on the envelope are from El Paso, TX and Austin, TX.
