The memo is in regards to the participants of the National Committee meeting who were unable to share all of their insights due to time constraints. For this reason, Down's is requesting that they submit their written responses concerning questions on the agenda. Also in the memo, Down's has listened the small group appointment to act as liaison between the National Committee and the task forces.

The letter is in regards to previous correspondence between Wilkie and Davis about the foundation grant support and how the Director of the foundation did not find it possible to approve a grant in support of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts program.
