This home movie documents Afsheen Nomai and Laura Treat's trip to Big Bend National Park, Terlingua, and Marfa, Texas. The movie begins with footage shot from a moving car as they arrive in Alpine, Texas followed by footage of Sul Ross State University and the Maverick Inn. The trip continues and they drive through Big Bend National Park, stopping to camp in the Chisos Basin. Footage includes setting up camp, building a fire, and grilling steak. Nomai and Treat explore the park with stops at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Trail, Boquillas Canyon, Sotol Vista, Santa Elena Canyon, and Old Maverick Road. They then arrive in Terlingua Ghosttown and explore the town including an abandoned building and cemetery. They then drive through Fort Davis and back to Marfa where footage includes the Hotel Paisano, the Marfa Presidio County Museum, a Donald Judd building, and the Palace Theater (Theatre).

Footage includes chickens at the poultry show, the 2015 (ETBA) East Texas Beekeepers Association Honey Queen, The Original World Famous Redwood Log House, dancers performing in front of the Hall of State, Big Tex, a butter sculpture, a live musical performance by the Light Crust Doughboys on the Dr. Pepper stage, a horseback riding or equestrian performance, a music history exhibit, dancers clogging in front of the Hall of State, and the interior of The Cotton Bowl. The movie concludes with a walk through the Midway and the fairgrounds and shots of the Dallas skyline from the Texas Star Ferris Wheel.

Oral History Interview with Charles Seale, October 2, 2018

Interview with Charles (Charly) Seale, who served with the Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol Service during the flood of July 17, 1987 near Comfort, Texas. The flood took the lives of ten children. Charles was in the the first responding helicopter involved in the rescue operation and recounts the events, the search that followed, and changes made afterwards. Photos of Charles follow the transcript.
