In regards to a project proposed by the San Antonio Museum of Art, SAMA to development a series of art reproductions and presentation for a summer institute to train teachers. McCarter and Reynolds write that they have worked with SAMA since the museum educators attended a Marcus-funded advocacy workshop and believe that their proposal is consistent and similar to NTIEVA's efforts and support their proposal.

A memo from Vicki Rosenberg, program officer from the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the Regional Institute Directors, Sheila Brown, Margaret DiBlasio, Edith Curtis Johnson, Anne Lindsey, Nancy MacGregor, Susan Rotilie, Joyce Wright, Jack Davis, Virginia Gembica, Phyllis Scott Johnson, Jessie Lovano-Kerr, Bill McCarter, and Nancy Roucher. The memo is in regards to the Getty Center for Education in the Arts underwriting eight DBAE Fellowships through the Council for Basic Education's Art Education Fellowship Program. Enclosed with the memo are copies of the 1993 Arts Education Fellowship Program fly and application.

A letter from Leanna Landsmann, Landsmann & Schutz, Publishers and Problem Solvers for the School and Youth Markets, to Sheila Brown, director for Arts / Gifted Education at the Nebraska Depart of Education, and Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter expresses Landsmann's reaffirmation in the distance learning effort, despite what one of the consultants in Dallas previously thought otherwise.
