McLaughlin said the car was dragged 249 feet north of the intersection by the train operated by Virgil R. Bangert, 49, of 5207 Beverly Dr. Bangert told officers the train was going about 20 miles per hour and that he sounded the engine's horn as the auto turned onto the tracks from a parallel dirt road."
