A letter from John Patterson Osterhout to his wife, Junia Roberts Osterhout, discussing how family life had been since Junia left to visit with extended family. John let her know of local baptisms and poultry sales he had made at the recent fair. He and their daughter, Gertrude, were looking forward to Junia's return home. Included is an envelope addressed to "Mrs. J. P. Osterhout."

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Charles B. Moore and is addressed to Mary Ann Moore. In this letter,Moore informs Mary of the goings- on since she has departed for Gallatin, Tennessee. He discusses the number of correspondences he has sent to Mary Ann, weather, the daily chores, community news about friends, updates about the milk cows going to pasture, and the amount of milk the cows are producing since going to pasture. Moore details the daily happenings for Mary Ann and notes that the new carpet was installed by Linnet and Jo in the front room. He discusses the loads of lumber collected for the day details the rainy weather, and notes that Abigail and her calves are well. Moore continues to mention the day's events for Mary Ann. In the latter part of the letter dated October 26, 1897, Moore states that they have yet to receive word from Mary Ann and will travel to Melissa to send a telegram if no correspondence is received by tomorrow morning. Copy of transcript for a letter from Edmund Andrews to James F. Perry, in which Andrews reports that the bill of lading should be arriving soon and the document will enable Perry will able to recover the financial losses incurred when several items of his merchandise, being shipped on the Empress, were thrown overboard. Andrews also reports that an angry customer broke in to his store, and that his cook was taken away by Mr. Randon.

Correspondence between Meyer Bodansky and Jacob Fine, dated October 26th, 1939: the first from Dr. Jacob Fine to Dr. Meyer Bodansky a return letter from Dr. Bodansky to Dr. Fine acknowledging the receipt of the letter. The letter from Dr. Fine contains a copy of correspondence to Secretary of State Medical Society from the Boston Committee on Medical Emigres regarding future involvement in a program for assisting Jewish medical immigrants. A pamphlet is included in the letter from Dr. Fine from the Journal of American Medical Association describing the program.
