Representatives of Latin American Clubs , Army and Navy officials, and the American Legion have been invited, as well as the next of kin of the Latin American war heroes who died. Herrera asks Dr. Castañeda if he could attend the ceremony.

Policy Supervisor, State Headquarters for Selective Service, Austin 17, Texas, dated October 19, 1943. Fellbaum instructs Carswell and Vernon to address a letter from the clerk of Hidalgo County Local Board 2 regarding the instructions given regarding 4-F registrants.

A form letter addressed to Other Medicinal Permit Holders of Texas, from City Drug, Inc., Perryton, Texas, (J. H. Brashears, President), dated October 19, 1940. Brashears advises of his support for the plan to protect the present law which permits druggists to dispense liquor by prescriptions under the medicinal permit law. He compels druggists to contribute $100 to the fund and recommends Mr. Max Boyer believing that much good will be accomplished through his endeavors and the other connections he has in Austin.

A World War II-era joke in the form of a letter. The correspondence is addressed to Hebbronville Local Board No. 1, from Frank Garcia Castillo, Eagle Pass, Texas, and dated October 19, 1943. The letter begins, "I received your classification card in which you give me 4-F. But I don't like it . . . ." It is typewritten on Selective Service System letterhead.

Letter to Dr. George R. Minot of the Thorndike Memorial Laboratory at the Boston City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. The letter, which is dated October 19, 1940, informs Dr. Minot that the unknown sender might be in Boston soon and would like to meet up with him if there is a chance.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky and Dr. John Marshall, who is from the Medical Center of the College of Dentistry at the University of California. The last letter, which is handwritten by Dr. Marshall, informs Dr. Bodansky that he has forwarded eight reprints of articles that deal with dental pathology. Dr. Marshall also informs Dr. Bodansky that he and his students enjoy and use several of his books. The first letter is a response from Dr. Bodansky; it thanks Dr. Marshall for the forwarding of reprints and for his kind words of encouragement.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. A. Baird Hastings, who is from the Department of Biological Chemistry at Harvard University Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. In the letter, which is dated October 19, 1940, Dr. Bodansky informs Dr. Hastings that he will be traveling to Boston in a few days and would like to meet with him.
