The coupons are good for one regular course in various departments: Teacher's Training, Music, Commercial, and Collegiate. The coupons were sold to J. W. Medlin and signed by College President J. C. Chilton on September 6, 1892.

They received their letter in Paris, but they have been in Blossom for a while. They are at Nettie's Uncle's place and they are enjoying it. Ethel has been feeling better this summer. Lizzie has also been well. He hasn't heard from Solomon in a while. C. M.has been unwell and asks that they write to them in Blossom.

She found some time to write them, but can't find their last letter. She mentions that some people are headed out. Mr. Franklin had a hard time getting home. Mr. Lowry has been unwell he thinks with a fever. Her Uncle H got a fever and was unwell, but has recovered. She mentions Solomon's family and their health. Solomon will be going back to help pick cotton. She received a letter from Clarence and Solomon received one from George. Buck is wearing a necklace with a heart on it. Neal came back that morning. Solomon ended up leaving to go find work. She read their letter to Uncle H. She mentions that they need rain. She talks about the state of their peach orchard. Uncle H and Neal are going to Melissa. Neal helped Lila with her milking and feeding. She mentions again the need for rain and she was happy that the Moores were having a good time.

He met a funeral train of African Americans. Someone was searching for work in Fort Worth, but failed. He hasn't received any news from Clarence. Dr. Rucker wants a long letter from them about Tennessee. He wants to be released from the Post Office because a successor has not been appointed for C. M. R.

Priest is very sick and weak. They have had to watch him because he gets up at night. He then mentions the weather and the need for rain. Solomon returned and is looking at land to purchase. Solomon received a letter from Clarence, but it did not mention if he had a fever. Neal did not go to church, but instead went fishing. Brother Carr came again and gave him shorthand and theology. He is getting mixed messages on the shorthand. He then talks about theology. Neal is going to Melissa. He talks about working on a grain drill. He mentions the weather again and the harvest flies. He talks about the peaches he has and inquires about their peach orchard. His California visitors have not made it to him yet and he wonders what is keeping them. He is expecting Lila, her baby, Aunt T and John or Neal to go with him to town. He talks about the crops and the most current condition of Priest.

He needed Moore's help, but Moore was going to Tennessee. He appreciated the letters Moore sent from Tennessee and the paper as well. Will took them to the wild raspberries. He and Lizzie went hiking in August and were very tired afterward. He helped Will irrigate. He says it is dull and that they keep closing the silver mines. He talks about his own garden.

She was glad to hear from them because she was afraid that they had gone home and forgotten about her. She mentions that Mrs. Joyner would like to go back to Texas with them and is an old schoolmate of Mrs. Moore. She wants to get her father to go with her to Texas, but will not be able to go this year. Her mother is going to Arkansas to see her son. She received a copy of the "Democrat" by Mr. Moore of her trip to McKinney.

He was glad to get news from all of them. He then mentions the weather they have been experiencing. He hopes Priest and Netty are doing better and mentions Bett Wallace's improvement. Mary and Betty went to Tobe's and on the way back got caught in the rain. He went to town with Abe and also got caught in the rain on the way back. He went to Dinkie's place and met his new cousin-in-law. Mary has some sewing she needs to get done before they can leave, but he will try to leave as soon as he can. He expects to see some more visitors and he wishes he could share the good food he is enjoying. He mentions the weather again and says he expects a lot of news when he returns home.

He mentions the improvements of Priest's health. He fixed their fence because the Webb's cows kept getting into their field. He is having a good time with Brother Carr and translating shorthand. One of the Stiff boys killed a black man last Saturday. He talks about farming and the weather. Neal is in Waxahachie, Texas and is pursuing a writing career. He talks about Buck and how he has learned some obedience. He mentions that the only thing keeping them from starving is milking the cow to have milk and butter. He talks about the weather and the need to go to McKinney for supplies. He read an article in the Phonographic Magazine.

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Matilda Dodd. In this letter, Matilda updates the Moore family on the goings-on in Gallatin, Tennessee and the news includes: news about Will and Birdie going to singing school and other social events, a discussion about Bettie and Abe, updates on the weather, and news about family as well as details concerning correspondence from family members. She closes the letter by stating that the Moore family should write soon and that she hopes the letter finds them all well. The envelope is included with the letter.

These are letters from the Charles B. Moore Collection. The first two are written by Alice Griffin, who was Adelitia "Dinkie" McGee's daughter and niece and cousin to members of the Moore family. An additional letter is written by Frank M. Griffin, Alice's husband. In Alice's letter, she informs the Moore family of the goings-on in Gallatin, Tennessee and the news includes: an update on family members health, news about the weather, a discussion about Matilda Dodd, a dialogue about pickling and preserving, a dialogue about Bailey Love, details about deaths in the community and general community news, a discussion about Bessie, Mattie, Birdie, and Hattie Love, an update on the dress she is making for Matilda, details about Pete who is helping Matilda, and news of Bettie and Matilda's visit. In Alice's second letter, she details Matilda's and Bettie's visit, discusses news about family and friends, mentions her garden and box flowers,and writes about a dress she is having made and a dress she is making for Birdie. She mentions Birdie going to school and Alice looking better in health. She hasn't heard from Em and was wondering if they were coming to visit or not. She received news from Tobe. She asks that Mr. Moore write his family so she can receive news of them.

This letter is form the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Mary Ann Moore. In the letter, Moore details to Charles when they will meet in McKinney, as Charles and Linnet are returning from Gallatin, Tennessee. She updates Charles on community news and details that he has received a postcard for K. Wallace stating that Mary Jane Austin passed away. She closes the letter by noting that Jo continues to smoke as much as before and that Laura has been visiting for a couple of weeks. The envelope is included with the letter.

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. In this letter, Moore discusses the goings-on during his trip to Colorado. He details to Mary Ann that they received her letter yesterday and are, at present, writing letter to her and to friends back home. He mentions that he has received correspondence from Tom and Stella from Salt Lake and from their return trip from Salt Lake which found them again in Manitou. He thanks Mary Ann and Laura Jernigan for taking care of the home front while he and Linnet experience Colorado. He notes what he and Linnet have been up to while in Grand Junction. Moore discusses the kin they have visited and stayed with who live in or near Grand Junction. He also discusses society in Colorado and how women are more self-reliant and have the right to vote. The plans are to leave Grand Junction in a few days for Manitou then Denver. He notes that Tom has sent word that Manitou is deserted at present and also sent Charles a Dall Morning newspaper. She saw 3 trains, but no Texans. She says that Linnet was being lazy and she tried to send off a letter. Linnet is going to wash their clothes. She talks about crops in Colorado and the different families she is related to. She visited a young apple orchard. She mentions the price of distilled water. She talks about food that they have enjoyed. She received a letter from Tom. They finally returned from their trip and she is sick.

He received their letter just in time. He mentions that they have been well and he feels bad for imposing on them. He is very grateful because he feels better. He wrote Will and Linnet wrote Birdie. He mentions how much it is for them to stay there. He will send a paper to Doug. He went to the train depot looking for Texans. Linnet wants to go sight seeing, she went to Colorado Springs. He mentions that his family has been gone the whole time he is visiting. He met a couple of people from Texas at the depot and a man from Tennessee. He feels bad for their hardship. He comments on how Linnet is doing on the trip. He mentions how different the women are, they ride broncos and smoke.

She mentions that her mother died and that now the bond connecting them is broken. She tells them that her mother had been suffering, but continued to put on a brave face. They buried her next to their father and she will go live with her sister in Dallas. She gives her new address and is happy that he and Linnet enjoyed their trip with her. Included is the Funeral Notice for her mother.

Letter from Ben Ledbetter to Linnet Moore in which he says he enjoyed the Sunday he spent at her home. He wished he had received an answer to his previous letter. Then he announces that he will be near her on a business trip and would like to see her again.
