Caption: "The criminal court of appeals Wednesday reversed the 20-year manslaughter sentence given Bennie McGrew, 17-year-old babysitter who was charged with the murder of 18-month-old Thomas Harris. McGrew was charged jointly with his foster brother, Kenneth Brewer, 16, in the death of Harris, who was allegedly beaten with a belt buckle. Brewer pled guilty in May, 1955, and also received a 20-year sentence. The conviction of McGrew was reversed because of police testimony relating a conversation with Brewer in which he said McGrew had struck the baby with his open hand."
