Interview with Clarabelle Barton Snodgrass, vice-chair of the Kerr County Historical Commission from Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Snodgrass talks about growing up on a primitive ranch, struggling to survive during the Depression, meeting and marrying her husband, their family, their involvement with music, and her efforts to preserve the history of Kerr County. She also briefly discusses the honors and awards her volunteer work has earned her. Pages 2-13 include a written statement by Miles Abernathy Lowrence, Clarabelle's maternal great-uncle.

This website served as the focal point for the Deepwater Horizon Unified Command, a group of organizations that had involvement with the British Petroleum (BP) explosion and oil spill that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010. Groundwater in Alluvium of the Lower Mississippi Valley (Upper and Central Areas): Volume 1
Summary: "This report provides data on the alluvial aquifer of the Lower Mississippi Valley in the area between Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Port Gibson, Mississippi. Maps are presented of the Tertiary surface on which the alluvial aquifer rests as well as the geology of this surface and the areas where hydrologic recharge to the alluvial aquifer may occur. A set of piezometric-surface maps, together with hydrographs of observation wells, river stages, precipitation rates, and data on the hydrologic properties of the alluvium, makes it possible to calculate changes which take place in the aquifer. Further data are presented on the chemical quality of groundwater. The relevance of these data to engineering problems is discussed" (p. ix).
