Jim Bevis, co-founder of CE, shares his perspective of what happened."

Church history reveals that the blood of the martyrs is the seed for the church's growth. While the history of the Chinese church is one of persecution, it is also a history of vibrant revival, mission movements, and house churches."

We have a model of leadership that involves ministers/evangelists and elders/pastors. We train ministers but unfortunately have not intentionally developed elders for the church in a post-Christian culture. However, elders emerge in an intentional development ministry."
