Questions that need to be answered are (1) Is academic success or failure related to change of major? (2) Is mental ability associated with change of major? (3) Is change of interest related to change of major? (4) Are there reasons that are personal and peculiar to the individual that are associated with change of major? (5) Is inadequate occupational information related to change of major? (6) Do social reasons such as a desire for a vocation with greater prestige, increasing interest in being of service to people, or having to conform to the wishes of parents and relatives relate to change of major?

Relationships between Personality and Leader Behavior of Elementary School Principals

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships between certain personality traits and leadership actions of elementary school principals. To achieve this purpose it was necessary first to obtain a description of the leadership actions of elementary school principals. Second, it was necessary to obtain data concerning the personalities of these elementary school principals. Third, the significance of the relationships between personality and leadership actions was tested statistically. Fourth, the significant relationships between personality and leadership actions were expressed in the form of mathematical equations so that predictions concerning leader behavior could be made.

The Relationship between Personality Integration and Creativity

This study has two major purposes. The first of these is to formulate a theoretical model which 1) provides an ontological and psychological framework for the concept of creativity, and 2) if non-contradictory empirical data are produced, provides a philosophic and psychological guide to effective action relevant to the development of creative skill. The second major purpose is to formulate and test a problem and hypotheses which would provide some empirical evidence of the explanatory adequacy of the model, and outside the scope of theoretical material, to produce data of general interest to any reader regardless of his theoretical orientation.

More specifically, the study attempted to deal with the following questions: 1. What types of social deviance are characteristic of children at varying levels of creativity? 2. Is creativity more evident in children demonstrating certain socially deviant characteristics? 3. How much social acceptance is there of children demonstrating varying levels of social deviance and varying levels of creative ability? 4. What relationships exist "between creativity and intellectual ability, academic achievement and social behavior?
