Summary of a report that studied the effects of lowering the calcium and phosphorus intake of albino rats one week after they were weaned. They discovered that the amounts of calcium and phosphorus were lowered however they did keep appearing even when the bare minimum was used. This in turn affected the wet weight, dry weight, ash and calcium and phosphorus levels in the rats' bones.

Letter from the President and General Manager of The Ovid Bell Press, Inc. to the Dean of the Medical School at University of Texas. The letter concerns an order from the school for reprints of of an article by Dr. Meyer Bodansky. Mr. Bell recollects when an order was taken from a professor at the school a year previously, and how he was forced to get a state warrant to eventually pay for the bill. He states that he is willing to give the school a second chance if it is honest and amiable.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. Cary Poindexter, dated Ausgust 5, 1940. The letter details the medical examination of Dr. Poindexter's wife, who Dr. Bodansky diagnosed with hypothyroidism. The letter specifically details the process and results of several blood tests that Mrs. Poindexter underwent, as well as the results of a urine test, red blood cell count, monocyte count, pulse rate, metabolism, and other tests. Dr. Bodansky also outlines the diet that he recommended to Mrs. Poindexter.

The letter, which is dated August 5, 1940, congratulates Dr. Logan on his acceptance to the Andrew Carnegie professorship of biochemistry at the University of Cincinnati.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to the C. V. Mosby Company, dated August 9, 1940. Dr. Bodansky informs the company that a payment through check is enclosed with the letter. He also requests that three additional copies of what he ordered be sent to him.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky and C. E. Lankford, dated August 6, 1940 and August 13, 1940. The first letter, which is from Dr. Bodansky, informs Mr. Lankford that he sent one of his research papers along with his own notes to a medical publication. The second letter, which is from Mr. Lankford, discusses some of his researchas well as expressing hi apologies for not being able to work with Dr. Bodansky because of time constraints.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, the Director of Laboratories at the University of Texas, and Mrs. C. C. Poindexter, whom Dr. Bodansky is advising on her ailments through mail. The second letter, which is handwritten from Mrs. Poindexter and dated August 26, 1940, updates Dr. Bodansky on her progress concerning her health. The first letter, which is from Dr. Bodansky and dated September 19, 1940, is a response to Mrs. Poindexter's note. Dr. Bodansky assures her that he would like her to keep him updated on her health and condition.

The first letter, which is from Dr. Spies and is dated September 1, 1940, congratulates Dr. Bodansky for earning and receiving a grant for a project. The second letter, which is from Dr. Bodansky and dated August 13, 1940, informs Dr. John W. Spies that the grant which he applied for was granted and received. The third letter, which is from Dr. Bodansky to Dr. Leech is dated August 13, 1940. It acknowledges the receipt of a previous letter, and informs the Dr. Bodansky that it has been referred to the Business Officer of the University of Texas Medical School.

Letter from Raoul A. Cortez, President General of LULAC, to John J. Herrera, LULAC Regional Governor, dated August 12,1948. This is a reply to John Herrera's letter of August 6, 1948. President General Cortez encourages Herrera to call together the Houston area councils for a local convention, with a larger convention possibly to be held later. President General Cortez also replies to suggestions made in the earlier letter and invites Herrera to join in a visit to the LULAC Council Number 132 in El Paso, Texas.
