One of the young women stands at the bottom of the spring house and is holding up what appears to be a long-handled dipper, while the other woman is seated on the top of the spring house and is reaching down toward the dipper. The spring house is a brick, stone, and possibly concrete structure with arches at the bottom where the water comes out. It is located in a depression in a wooded area. Printed on the border to the right of the image is the title, "Scene at Hynson's Springs, six miles west of Marshall, Texas." The postmark on the back of the card is dated Aug 31, 1910, and the card is addressed to Mrs. Charles Keller, Buffalo, N.Y."
