Caption: "Unusual Sidewalk scene was result Thursday morning of a collision at NW 6 and Robinson in which two drivers and a pedestrain were injured. One of the cars spun on to the sidewalk striking the pedestrian, Quincy M. Green, 44, as he walked south on Robinson. Greem suffered injuries to his right leg, left elbow and head. The driver of one car, Ross C. Tomberlin, 46, of 2904 NW 16, suffered a serious head injury and the driver of the second car, Judie Jeanette Goodwyn, 22, of 928 NW 18, suffered a shoulder injury. All were taken to Mercy hospital and no arrests were made, Officer Joe Wright said."

Caption: "A two-alarm fire in an old apartment house at 108 NE 7 was quickly extinguished, but not before four families were left homeless Monday noon. There were no injuries. Twelve engine companies and more than 35 firemen fought the blaze, which apparently started from a hot water tank in the rear of the dwelling. Assistant Fire Chief Earl Kemp estimated damages to be between $10,000 to $15,000. He said the fire gutted the rear room on the second floor, the attic and the roof. No one lived in the rear room. Firemen on ground and atop roof battle flames in apartment house ar 108 NE 7."

Caption: "Operation Big Pour went off without a hitch at Oklahoma City's new underground operating center at NE 46 and Eastern in Lincoln Park. Concrete trucks are part of a fleet that aided in pouring the 2-feet thick concrete roof. The concrete and steel roof is designed to withstand blast and protect the city government's underground nerve center from atomic fallout or other disaster. The underground structure measures 85 feet wide and 138 feet long. the single-pour concrete roff was completed in one working day and contained an estimated 435 cubic yards of concrete and steel."
