Murphy advises that a basket of fruit, candy and a card was placed in the cabin for Mr. J. B. Dalton as Carswell requested costing $6.48.

A letter written to Bertram D. Janes, District Attorney, Plumas County, Quincy, California, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated August 11, 1953. Carswell advises Janes that he has enclosed a Notice of Intention of Subject A-9803 to apply for Pardon and Restoration and advises of progress made by Subject for the two years while under his supervision explaining that he urges his worthy parolees to regain their citizenship.

Gordon, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact, Sacramento 14, California, from Howard Carney, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact (by Betty Christian, Chief, Parole Division), Department of State, Texas, dated August 12, 1953. Christian acknowleges receipt of the letter from Gordon regarding Subject 9803 - A, and advises Gordon of the Subject being granted a Certificate of Discharge and that the Subject's file will be closed. Typewritten at the bottom of the page is correspondence from B C [Betty Christian] to Mr. Carswell requesting he close his files on the case and the Certificate of Discharge be given to Subject.
