Prince advises Morales that if he is considering purchasing an existing station, he will be required to file another application. Prince provides Morales with information about the standard filing process. Prince also notes that many radio stations have difficulties making the same profits they saw during the war.

Letter from D. F. Prince to Felix H. Morales. Prince acknowledges Morales' August 21st letter in which Morales inquired about the cost of applying for an AM radio station in Houston. Prince provides an estimate for legal charges from $2500 to $3500 plus incidental expenses. Prince also provides an estimate for Mr. Barron, which would be between $10,000 to $12,000. Prince advises Morales of the risks of proceeding with the amended application and suggests he seek the assistance of John J. Herrera.

Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera, LULAC Regional Governor, to Raoul A. Cortez, President General of LULAC, dated August 6, 1948. This is a request for 250 copies of the latest issue of the LULAC News to be distributed in areas that are being affected by the Segregated Mexican School court case. Herrera also feels that a Regional Convention of LULAC would help inform delegates how to cope with local situations of illegal segregation. Also included are some recommendations of Herrera's for updates to the LULAC constitution, frequency of LULAC News printing, and distribution of LULAC lapel buttons, application cards, and membership cards.

[Letter from Raoul A. Cortez to John J. Herrera - 1948-08-12]

Letter from Raoul A. Cortez, President General of LULAC, to John J. Herrera, LULAC Regional Governor, dated August 12,1948. This is a reply to John Herrera's letter of August 6, 1948. President General Cortez encourages Herrera to call together the Houston area councils for a local convention, with a larger convention possibly to be held later. President General Cortez also replies to suggestions made in the earlier letter and invites Herrera to join in a visit to the LULAC Council Number 132 in El Paso, Texas.
