This technical report provides supplementary information on the Brookhaven nuclear reactor. It details added safety systems, tests, expounds on information included in the original report, describes liquid wastes system, and describes different procedures for operating the nuclear reactor.

Abstract: "Samples of dust are collected from the atmosphere with a Mine Safety Appliance Co. electrostatic precipitator and analyzed for uranium by means of a dropping mercury electrode apparatus. Two to three micrograms of uranium can be detected in a cell solution volume of 1 ml. Iron, nickel and chromium present in shop dusts do not interfere. Copper may interfere if present in excess but may be removed by a sulfide precipitation. Directions for preparation of cell solution and operation of the Polarograph are given. The polarographic method described may be used for determination of uranium in samples other than atmospheric dusts."

Abstract: An experimental and analytical research program is described which is designed to meet certain specific needs for data and methods required to make improved predictions of transient voids, burnout, flow, and fuel temperature during extreme accidents in sodium-cooled reactors.

Report evaluating the design characteristics and limitations of fixed blankets for breeder reactors. This also includes economic considerations for each tested blanket.

"The visible absorption spectra of VA3, CrA3, MnA3, FeA3 and CoA3 (A=C5H7O2, the acetylacetonate anion) are reported. The interpretation of the data in respect to the symmetry and strength of the ligand fields is discussed, with special attention to the presence and magnitudes of trigonal components in ligand fields and its consistency with certain results of paramagnetic trigonal fields of appreciable magnitude are present."
