Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "A $2,000 hat that is so large he can't wear it, is the prize possession of Woodward's J. O. "Slim" Selman. He bought the hat for $1,000 at the rodeo in Woodward for tornado relief. Previously the motion picture stars who helped with the show had paid $1,000 among them for the privilege of autographing the hat as well. Selman keeps it cozily in his closet. Proceeds from the rodeo recently reached more than $44,000."
