Rhoads, 57, was critically hurt when his car plunged into the Great Shiloh Baptist church here Monday after going out of control in a freak accident. Carl A. Rhoads, 57-year-old Oklahoma City grocer, was in a critical condition in St. Anthony hospital Monday after a freak accident in which his automobile crashed into a church at NE 10 and Lindsay. Rhoads, who lives at 425 SW 50, and operates a grocery store at 2407 S Central, suffered a fractured skull and internal injuries. a passenger in his automobile, Jack Daniel Webb Jr., 36 of 113 NE 5, suffered head injuries. A large section of skin was cut from his forehead above his left eye. Police Accident Investigators Bill Lewellen and C.L. Posey said the Rhoads car went out of control after it was side-swiped by a vehicle driven by Mrs. Carlean R. Sharp, 51 of 3038 NE 19, in the 1000 block on N Lindsay. If the deal with early day Oklahoma City, there's a place they can be used. It's the Charles M. France room on the fourth floor of the main library. The France room houses the Local History collection which includes books, newspaper, photographes and other materials pertaining to the exciting past and present of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma County. The room is named for a former library building committee chirman who died in 1952. France, who had contributed three distinctive pieces of furniture to the room, was leader of the project to build the room. Open in 1953 After his death, the city council, upon recommendation of the library board, approved completion of the room as originally planned from library building funds.
