Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "The Indian Exposition opening this week at Anadarko is the scene of one of the biggest encampments of Indians you'll be likely to find anywhere. They gather at Anadarko each year at this time, coming from many tribes for the annual pow wow and Indian exposition. Wherever you find a gathering of Indians such as this, you will find a blending of the old and the new...They began arriving as early as two weeks ago, pitched their tents, and set up camp on the fairgrounds. A structure, of brick, steel, and ledge stone with glass and aluminum exterior, the memorial building "will br tops in the nation because of its functional design......The building is the result of about one year's planning on the parts of Bader, Robert E. Stone, and Don MacDougal of the national office in New Brunswick........The Last Frontier council has occupied offices at 208 NW 2 the last 14 years. that building is named in memory of their son, Bo Allen, who was killed in an accident several years ago...Other counties are Pottawatomie, Lincoln, Seminole, Hughs, Cleveland, McCain, Canadian, part of Caddo, Custer, Washitia, Roger Mills and Beckham - clear to the Texas line."
