Interview with Army veteran James Riley Chennault. The interview includes Chennault's personal experiences about the Southwest Pacific Theater during World War II, childhood in Mississippi, moving to Texas in 1939, joining the 112th Cavalry, training, combat, and the Battle of Driniumor River. Chennault also talks about the mobilization of the Texas National Guard, Louisiana Maneuvers as part of the 3rd Army, rotation to the states, his assignment to a pack mule outfit, his discharge from the Army, and the daily routine of life in the horse cavalry. Interview with Navy veteran Melvin R. "Pancho" Baird. The interview includes Crozier's personal experiences about his service as an aviation officer for General Olinto Barsanti, commander of the 101st Airborne Division. Interview with longtime Denton residents Frank and Betty Ann Barrow for the Denton County Historical Commission. The interview includes Frank's personal experiences about his childhood and moving to Denton, having a career as a radio announcer, serving in the Special Services division of the Army Air Forces, having a career as an automobile dealer, insurance agent, and haberdasher in Denton, working with a Methodist church, being involved in the Denton Community Theatre, serving on the Denton City Council, and his political career as mayor of Denton. It also includes Betty Ann's family history and how they coped with the Great Depression, information on her education at North Texas State College, and her personal experiences about marriage, the death of her husband in a flying accident, widowhood, her marriage to Frank Barrow, her clothing business, and working to liberalize Denton race relations. Interview with Army Air Forces veteran Richard E. Cole describing personal experiences about being Jimmy Doolittle's co-pilot during the Tokyo Raid on April 8, 1942, pre-war education, flight training, volunteering for a secret mission and meeting Colonel Doolittle, being assigned as Doolittle's co-pilot, mission training, various B-25 missions against Japanese targets in China and Burma, flying supplies over "The Hump." transferring to the states and volunteering for service in Burma with the 1st Air Commandos to support Wingate's Chindits and Merrill's Marauders, and reunions of Doolittle's Raiders the following war.

Interview with J. W. Stoker, a cowboy from Weatherford, Texas. Stoker discusses his family and growing up, getting involved in the rodeo, traveling shows, being drafted into the Army and serving in Korea, celebrities he has worked with, the Six Flags Wild West Show, induction into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, contemporary rodeos, his favorite acts, and reflections on his career. In appendix are two promotional photos of Stoker and his horse, and three of him performing.

Interview with Gary Bruce, a resident of Pilot Point, Texas. Bruce recounts his childhood and growing up in a poor community, primary school, his parents, high school, racism, the JFK and MLK assassinations, the Texas State Fair, Juneteenth, jobs worked, his first marriage, children, his second wife, family history in north Texas, changes in Denton and Pilot Point over the years, segregation, and the Zimmerman trial. In appendix are a series of family photos.

Interview with Glenn C. Blouse, a Army WWII veteran from Long Level, Pennsylvania. Blouse discusses his family life, being drafted, basic training, deployment to the European Theater via North Africa, assignment to the 135th Infantry, 34th Infantry Division in Italy, duties as a machine gunner, first combat experiences, fighting on the Monte Cassino front, foxhole life, shelling, tactics, taking prisoners, Italian civilians, the Anzio landing, assaulting a hill, liberating Rome, the Apennines Campaign, nightwatch and a firefight which earned him the Bronze Star, breaking into the Po Valley, Mussolini's corpse, the end of the war. In appendix is Blouse's Bronze Star citation.

Interview with Pauline Dixon, a teacher and longtime resident of Hamilton Park from Pittsburg, Texas. Dixon discusses her education, her father's work as assistant sheriff in segregated Pittsburg, the Classroom Teachers of Dallas, moving to Hamilton Park, development of the area, the "buy out" of the neighborhood, the Civic League, desegregation and busing, and her political work.

Interview with John Hargrove, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Hargrove discusses growing up and his family background, being drafted into the Air Corps, training, assignment to the 18th Reconnaissance Squadron, 22nd Bomb Group at Langley Field as a radio operator, life and work at Langley, transition to the B-26, the start of the war, submarine patrol, deployment to Townsville, Australia via Hawaii, flying his first mission, liberty and recreation, bombing and close air support missions, the crew being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, losses, returning to the US, work as a radio instructor, meeting his wife, postwar service, and reflections on the atomic bomb. In appendix is a manuscript for an autobiography written by Hargrove, an addendum to the interview, and a letter to Ron Marcello making corrections to the interview.

Interview with Kenneth Poff, a Army WWII veteran from Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, who served with the 1913th Engineer Aviation Battalion. Poff discusses his early life, being drafted and training, shipping out to Townsville, Australia, and landing on New Guinea, fighting attached to the 1st Marine Division for the Cape Gloucester and Hollandia campaigns, constructing and maintaining an airstrip, the Lingayan Gulf campaign in the Philippines, the atomic bomb and VJ-Day, and returning home.

Interview with Lloyd F. Hudson, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Fort Worth, Texas. Hudson discusses his family background, joining the 124th Cavalry and transfer to the 112th, work as a cavalryman before activation, activation and the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to Townsville, Australia, amphibious assault on Arawe, New Britain, falling ill and returning to the States, the character of troops, equipment, rivalry with the Marine Corps, and acts of bravery. In appendix is a list of Hudson's fellow soldiers, the places he served, descriptions of the equipment mentioned in the interview, and the 112th's service chronicle.
